(서울=NSP통신) 김지예 기자 = OCI, represented by Woo-Hyun Lee, strikes ‘EMC’ deal on September 1, for constructing 4.6MW solar power plant in Bridgestone’s manufacturing plants. The project sits on approximately 90,000-square-meter rooftop of Bridgestone’s Wuxi plant, Jiangsu Province.

CEO Lee announced, “OCI will jump into the Chinese market which has made a meteoric rise as one of the largest solar energy market in the world. With this step, OCI would achieve both business growth and high profitability.”

As the EMC is tripartite contract including Wuxi government, OCI will take part in construction and operation of the solar energy plant. Bridgestone will provide 90,000-square-meter property while Wuxi government authorizes the project and offers an administrative assistant.

OCI will send electricity to Bridgestone under 25-year contract and it is expected to bring in 19 million dollar profit to the company.
