People are very curious and looking forward to seeing more and more beautiful sights and various events of the most expected festival of October.

From the 1st to the 14th of October, a splendid and wonderful Yudeung Festival will be held in Jinju Namgang. For 14 days, the whole city of Jinju and the Namgang river will be illuminated with 60 thousand lanterns.
This year the festival’s duration is 2 days longer than previous years and the floating lanterns were also increased from 825 to 1258 to make the atmosphere at night more fantastic.

People can enjoy the view of thousands of sparkling lantern lights floating on Namgang River all over the place. Especially from Chok Seong Nu, a splendid and mysterious view will be opened, stimulating everyone’s curiosity and senses. Opposite the Jinju Castle, down to the Chok Seong Nu, we can see various lanterns reflecting the flow of Jinju’s history.

At the festival, people can also join many interesting events such as making lanterns, writing wishes and hanging over 27 thousand wishing lanterns along the 800 meter tunnel along Namgang Riverside.
