(Seoul=NSP NEWS AGENCY) = SK Telecom recorded a solid performance.

SKT announced that its three business areas, ▲AI infrastructure, ▲AIX, and ▲AI service, promoted under the ‘AI Pyramid Strategy’ announced last year, grew evenly, recording consolidated sales of KRW 17.6085 trillion and operating profit of KRW 1.7532 trillion in 2023.

This was an increase of 1.8% and 8.8%, respectively, compared to the previous year, and net profit recorded KRW 1.1459 trillion. On a separate basis, sales were KRW 12.5892 trillion, operating profit was KRW 1.4559 trillion, and net profit was KRW 1.0597 trillion.

SKT’s AI businesses are expected to achieve full-scale sales growth this year based on the overwhelming AI infrastructure and technological capabilities it has built so far. AI data centers, AI enterprises, and AI semiconductors are expected to drive the growth of the AI business by rapidly expanding sales this year along with rapid growth in market demand. The AI personal assistant A.(A.Dot), which has been making waves in the market since its official launch last year, will continue to add killer services this year, with a strategy to lead the AI agent market.

In terms of global expansion of its AI business, SKT aims to produce concrete results within the year in areas such as AI data centers, AI semiconductors, telco-specialized LLM business, and X Caliber AI solutions.

Meanwhile, the dividend for the fourth quarter of 2023 was decided by the board of directors at KRW 1,050 per share.
