(Seoul=NSP News Agency) soon ki Lee Journalist = Samsung SDS made an equity investment through Samsung Venture Investment Corporation(SVIC) in Vizion, a US logistics startup with maritime logistics visibility technology.

Vizion automatically collects and analyzes major data such as cargo location information of shipping carriers and port terminals around the world using AI technology to provide high-accuracy cargo transportation information in real time.

Samsung SDS plans to link cargo location information provided by Vizion with Cello Square, its digital logistics platform, to provide information such as various cargo transportation tracking, and ship schedules, and advance cargo arrival time prediction services.

Accordingly, shippers using Samsung SDS’ digital logistics service will be provided with more accurate and promptly global maritime logistics information such as cargo departure and arrival times, real-time location tracking, and transportation monitoring at loading, transfer, arrival ports, etc.

“We expect Samsung SDS to further strengthen its competitiveness in digital logistics services through this investment. We will continue to establish ourselves as a global major logistics service company through continuous investment and securing technology,” said Samsung SDS’ logistics business manager(vice president).
