(Seoul=NSP NEWS) = LG Electronics announced its preliminary results for Q1 2025, reporting consolidated sales of 22.7447 trillion KRW and an operating profit of 1.259 trillion KRW.

Compared to the same period last year, sales increased by 7.8%, while operating profit decreased by 5.7%. This marks the first time in the company’s history that quarterly sales have exceeded 22 trillion KRW.

Despite ongoing economic uncertainty due to the recession, the company achieved its highest-ever quarterly sales thanks to stable growth in its core businesses, along with “qualitative growth” areas such as business-to-business (B2B), subscription services, webOS, and direct-to-consumer (D2C) models.

The company also maintained a robust profit structure. Operating profit surpassed 1 trillion KRW for the sixth consecutive year. The increase in sales from relatively high-margin qualitative growth areas contributed to stable profitability through operating leverage effects.

Additionally, cost control measures such as efficient resource allocation, stabilization of raw material and logistics costs, and flexibility in global production operations further supported profitability.

LG Electronics plans to release its Q1 2025 consolidated net profit and segment-specific business performance at its earnings conference later this month.
