(Seoul=NSP NEWS AGENCY) = LG U+ will revise its terms and conditions to allow 5G smartphone customers to sign up for or change to LTE plans from the 19th.

Until now, when purchasing a 5G smartphone, you could only sign up for a 5G plan, and if you wanted to change to an LTE plan, you had to go through a separate process or purchase a self-sufficient 5G device.

In order to expand customers’ options for communication rates and devices and improve the experience of using communication services, LG U+ has created an environment where customers can use the rate plan they want through the Ministry of Science and ICT’s terms and conditions reporting process.

As a result, 5G and LTE plans are now available regardless of the type of 5G and LTE device. However, to experience the speed and quality of the 5G network, you must use a 5G plan with a 5G device, and if you use an LTE plan while using a 5G device, you will receive LTE network services.
