(Seoul=NSP News Agency) soon ki Lee Journalist = Samsung Electronics mass-produced ‘12Gb LPDDR5(Low Power Double Data Rate 5) mobile dram’ which has the highest speed ever in line with 5G telecommunication era.

Samsung Electronics has a strategy that it will preempt the next generation flagship smartphone memory market by mass-producing 12GB LPDDR4 mobile dram package with eight second-generation 10 nano-class(1y) 12Gb chips starting from the end of this month.


It significantly strengthened its premium memory lineup by mass-producing 12Gb LPDDR5 mobile drams in 5 months after it started mass-producing 12GB LPDDR4X mobile packages.

The 12Gb LPDDR5 mobile dram operates at a speed of 5,500Mb/s which is about 1.3 times faster than the existing mobile dram(LPDDR4X, 4,266Mb/s) which is currently used in high-end smartphones.

When this chip is embodied as a 12GB package, it can process 44GB data, which is about 12 full HD movies (3.7GB), in just one second.
