(Seoul=NSP News Agency) YEON SUN HAN Journalist = Samsung Electronics got security verification from CC(Common Criteria), a sole international common valuation criteria for 3 consecutive years.

In addition, it acquired PCI DSS(Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard), the payment settlement service related security certification using TV.

Samsung Electronics is protecting customers from security threats such as hacking by firmware updates on all smart TV lineup manufactured after year 2015 by applying Knox, its own security technology.

Knox, which is applied to Samsung Electronics Smart phone, Smart TV, and home appliances protects Smart TV platform safely by hardware security, the most fundamental way of security and regular firmware updates.

Especially, ‘Check out on TV’, the exclusive simple payment system solely for T commerce loaded on Samsung Smart TV enhanced its security through Knox platform by supporting Secure Keyboard and Secure Numpad so that credit card information is encrypted and not saved separately on machine.
