(Seoul=NSP News Agency) Jiye Kim Journalist = Shinhan card, South Korea’s biggest, global top five credit card company, launches the VISA Cloud-based Payments(VCP) services in order to facilitate efficient payment solutions at all NFC-Visa affiliate stores around the world.
The new solution enables simplified payment process, which done at once by touching smartphones to terminals, without swiping plastic cards or even launching a mobile application.
VCP is available in all over the world, at any stores that accept payWave, the VISA’s payment system. Dongle, a small piece of hardware enables NFC services, makes the ubiquitous real-time payments come true, as it does not require a banking SIM card associated with phone carrier companies. In South Korea alone, around eight thousand NFC-Visa membership stores with Dongle such as GS25 convenience stores, Starbucks, Homeplus hypermarket, serves the App Card customers. Including already established offline affiliates, the number of App Card member stores rises to 30 thousand. Meanwhile, about five million NFC-Visa affiliate stores are currently operating around the world.
