(Seoul=NSP NEWS AGENCY) = SK Hynix started to market the fastest 16 GB DRAM, Low Power Double Data Rate 5 Turbo (or LPDDR5T), for mobile devices that could transfer 9.6 GB/sec data.

The company highlighted that “LPDDR5T is the best memory that allows the fastest transfer and maximized smartphone performance” and added, “Our company will broaden the application of this product to lead the transition to the new DRAM package for mobile devices.

The 16 GB LPDDR5T package works at the lowest voltage range, 1.01 to 1.12V, set by the Joint Electron Device Engineering Council (JEDEC). In addition, it can transfer 77 GB/sec of data or 15 Full-HD (FHD) movies in a second.

SK Hynix started to supply the newly marketed product to the global smartphone manufacturer, vivo. The Chinese tech company announced on the same day that it will release its newest flagship smartphone models, X100 and X100 PRO, equipped with SK Hynix’s newest memory package.

The smartphone is equipped with LPDDR5T and MediaTek’s best mobile application processor, Dimensity 9300.
