(Seoul=NSP NEWS AGENCY) = On the morning of the 30th, Kakao held a community management meeting with more than 20 community CEOs, including Kim Bum-soo, head of the Future Initiative Centre, and Hong Eun-taek, CEO of Kakao.

It was an opportunity to examine the impact of recent issues on overall management.

At the meeting, Kakao’s management recognized the current situation as the highest level of emergency management and discussed the direction of change to renew Kakao’s management system itself.

It intensively investigated the cause of recent problems and discussed ways to accept external control in the future to monitor compliance. A plan to obtain an external evaluation of the social impact for new businesses or large-scale investments was also included.

Kakao will first establish a mechanism to inspect the compliance management status of each community to ensure that its management system meets social expectations.

Kim Bum-soo, head of the Future Initiative Center, said, “I thought it was necessary to reflect on what I lacked in the recent situation and to come up with a stronger internal and external compliance management and control system,” adding, “We need to think about and practice what we should do now.”

Meanwhile, Kakao plans to hold a community management meeting every Monday to discuss specific action plans.
