(Seoul=NSP NEWS AGENCY) = In the last five years, all of Korea’s top 10 companies have been punished for violating the Chemical Substances Control Act(Chemical Control Act). However, as the Ministry of Environment is promoting the relaxation of chemical regulations, it raises the issue that the Ministry’s chemical regulation relaxation is nothing more than a ‘big business favor’.
According to data submitted by National Assembly Democratic Party lawmaker Noh Woong-rae from the Ministry of Environment, the total number of Chemical Substances Control Act violations by the top 10 domestic companies from 2019 to September 2023 was 86.
