(Seoul=NSP News Agency) hYUNJIN KIM Journalist = We made won the first trial over banning the adaptation license of Legend of Mir 2 ("MIR 2") against Actoz Soft.
The governing Intermediate Peoples Courts at Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, China granted a motion to dismiss in whole against Actoz Soft's claim on 6 January. In particular, the court judged that Wemade had the MIR 2 IP adaptation rights.
The plaintiff filed a lawsuit to cease the adaptation license related to MIR 2 in China and sought suspension of the license agreement of Wemade and compensation for economic loss of 500 million yuan.
The recent ruling confirmed, once again, that Wemade had no problem in their MIR 2 IP license business. The Korean game company planned to endeavor to exercise its rightful rights as a MIR 2 IP holder and promote license business in close cooperation with its Chinese partners.
