(서울=NSP통신) soon ki Lee Journali = As ESG(Environment, Social, Governance) disclosure becomes mandatory from 2025, ESG management has become an essential corporate philosophy. Among them, SangSangin Industry(formerly DMC), a subsidiary of SangSangin, is taking the lead in implementing social responsibility management(S) among ESG management, such as providing customized welfare benefits for internal members and conducting sharing activities to revitalize the local economy.
To this end, SangSangin Industry operates a welfare system that reflects the characteristics of the region.
SangSangin Industry moved its headquarters from Gimhae, Gyeongsangnam-do to Gwangyang, Jeollanam-do to strengthen corporate competitiveness. As a result, a large number of employees moved and the number of foreign employees increased. SangSangin Industry provides dormitories to meet the needs of employees who have moved to areas without connections and foreign workers of various religions. Currently, more than 100 employees use the dormitory.
SangSangin Industry also adjusted the commuting hours for Monday and Friday. On Monday, the start time was delayed by two hours, and on Friday, the departure time was advanced by two hours. Through this, employees were considered to visit their hometowns or enjoy their hobbies over the weekend.
SangSangin Industry is also conducting activities to strengthen win-win cooperation with its partners as well as internal members and revitalize the local economy.
SangSangin Industry carried out sharing activities with partners, such as delivering gift sets to a total of 330 employees of partner companies at the end of December last year. This gift set consisted of pork and other local specialties of Gwangyang city, Jeollanam-do.
At the same time, in 2020, when the spread of COVID-19 was severe, the ‘Good SangSangin Consumer Movement’ was conducted at the Sangsangin group level, and SangSangin Industry purchased local gift certificates worth a total of 50 million won to pay 500,000 won to each employee and exhaust them early. Through this, it has achieved two birds with one stone, reducing the economic difficulties of local small business owners and improving the welfare of employees.
Kim Dong-won, CEO of SangSangin Industry, said, “I hope employees can enjoy their work and various types of welfare benefits along with appropriate compensation,” adding “I want to create a company where people can feel that this is my home.”
