(Seoul=NSP News Agency) eunyoung Huh Journalist = LG Electronics has recently supplied 4 CLOi ServeBots and 3 GuideBots to Youngin Severance Hospital affiliated with Yonsei University College of Medicine.

LG CLOi robot provides customized robot services in various places within the hospital such as guiding visitors, delivering medicines and medical supplies and patrolling late at night.

LG CLOi ServeBot can identify a medical staff who will receive medicines through a bio-verification technology which functions based on interworking between HIS (Hospital Information System) and Robot Control System. It is also equipped with features optimized for the medical environment - for example, the customized tray can handle medical instruments with various specifications.

For the first time, LG Electronics applied biometric authentication (finger vein) technology to CLOi ServeBot (drawer type) which can verify identification with finger vein.

The drawer type LG CLOi ServeBot can do various things in hostpital by itself. Its autonomous driving and obstacle avoidance technology can manage itself to safely get on the elevator or pass through an automatic door, delivering blood samples and medicines to various destinations such as hospital wards, pharmacy and injection room in a designated order.

Patients and their carers can look for the information they need using touch screen and audio guide of LG CLOi GuideBot.
