(Seoul=NSP News Agency) soon ki Lee Journalist = Among the four major financial holding companies(KB, Shinhan, Hana, and Woori), Shinhan Financial Group had the highest cumulative net profit in the third quarter of this year. It won the leading bank in the third quarter following the second quarter. The lowest is Woori Financial Group.

On the 25th, the four major financial holding companies announced their results for the third quarter of this year. Until the third quarter, cumulative net profit was in the order of ▲Shinhan Financial Group 4.3154 trillion won ▲KB Financial Group 4.2796 trillion won ▲Hana Financial Group 2.8494 trillion won ▲Woori Financial Group 2.6617 trillion won.

In particular, the difference in net profit in the third quarter between Shinhan Financial Group and KB Financial Group, which are competing for a leading bank, was 323.3 billion won. KB Securities’ net profit fell and one-time profits such as the sale of Shinhan Investment & Securities’ office building increased, widening the gap between KB Financial Group and Shinhan Financial Group.

Shinhan Financial Group had higher net profits than KB Financial Group not only for securities firms but also for all affiliates such as banks, securities, insurance, and cards.

Hana Financial Group demonstrated a cumulative consolidated net profit of 2.8494 trillion won, including 1.1219 trillion won in the third quarter of 2022.

Woori Financial Group had the lowest performance among the four major financial holding companies, but its cumulative net profit in the third quarter was 2.6617 trillion won, higher than last year’s annual performance. Woori Financial Group posted a net profit of 899.8 billion won in the third quarter of this year.
