A company official said, “We have reached an amicable agreement with the U.S. so that we can continue to produce semiconductor products in China. We will continue to work closely with the Korean government and the U.S. Department of Commerce to operate our factories in China within the scope of complying with international order.”
On the 7th, the U.S. government announced semiconductor regulations on China, and this KLA is also interpreted as a measure in accordance with the regulations.
SK hynix said, “We have been preparing for the process of obtaining authorization from the U.S. Department of Commerce. In this process, we emphasized to the U.S. that continuous equipment supply is necessary to facilitate the supply of semiconductors to the global market. The U.S. authorities have given us a one-year grace period so that we can receive equipment without a separate license required due to new regulations.”
