(Seoul=NSP News Agency) soon ki Lee Journalist = KOLMAR KOREA HOLDINGS works with its affiliate Yeonwoo to commercialize eco-friendly the cosmetic container that recycles discarded plastic.
KOLMAR KOREA HOLDINGS and Yeonwoo signed an MOU with Hanwha Solutions to commercialize cosmetic packaging materials applied with eco-friendly materials at the Advanced Institute of Technology in Seocho-gu, Seoul on the 24th.
Through this MOU, the three companies will take the lead in commercializing the cosmetic containers using PCR(Post Consumer Recycled)-PE(Polyethylene), recycled plastic materials.
Hanwha Solutions plans to develop recycled plastic materials and supply them to Yeonwoo, and Yeonwoo plans to produce the cosmetic containers applied with these materials and provide them to all customers. Kolmar Korea aims to actively propose recycled plastic containers to customers and replace more than 50% of the cosmetic tube containers produced by 2030 with eco-friendly materials.
The cosmetic containers, which the three companies cooperate in development, include more than 40% of PCR-PE materials processed from recycled raw materials by crushing discarded plastic, which has a high resource recycling effect.
They have completed verification tests for harmful substances at home and abroad, and aim to be commercialized after completing GRS(Global Recycled Standard) certification within this year. The materials will also be applied to the paper tubes commercialized for the first time in the world by Kolmar Korea.
