(Seoul=NSP News Agency) jeonghyun go Journalist = LG electronincs is to enhance its competitiveness by restructuring facilities and labors in Haiphong, Pyeongtaek and Changwon to increase its production efficiency.

LG electronics plans to transition the factories producing smart phones in Pyeongtaek to Haiphong for integration. Workers from Pyeongtaek move to Changwon for producing household appliances.

LG Haiphong is expected to be fully equipped by obtaining additional plants for premium products from Pyeongtaek.

Accordingly, LG Haiphong plans to expand its capacity with 11 million facilities and also to run in the second half of the year.

LG Pyeongtaek is to focus on its global business for smart phones by completing the restructuring in the course of this year, examining for mass production and getting efficiency.

Domestic production is still considered as strategic one.

LG electronics started getting plants from Changwon to produce a part of whole orders that used to be made overseas and sold in the states such as french doors or 4-door fridges considering that LG Changwon’s productivity is high enough to meet increased orders worldwide.
