(Seoul=NSP News Agency) soon ki Lee Journalist = Hyundai and Kia Motors have decided on the largest investment in the largest car-calling service company, Grab, in Southeast Asia and will begin EV-based mobility service from next year.
Accordingly, Hyundai and Kia Motors plan to invest 250 million dollars(about 284 billion won) in Grab.
With this investment, Hyundai and Kia Motors will pursue a new mobility project that utilizes its electric vehicle model with Grab's business platform.
Through this, Hyundai and Kia Motors will be able to expand sales in Southeast Asia, which is emerging as an emerging market for automobiles, and secure a foundation for sustained profitability with a new market-based approach that leverages partnerships with local companies.
Hyundai and Kia Motors will launch new mobility services using electric cars to major countries in Southeast Asia starting with Singapore next year along with Grab and enter the sharing economy market of Southeast Asia.
