(Seoul=NSP News Agency) jonghyuk Kim Journalist = Shinsegae department store opens ‘Daegu Shinsegae’ in Dongdaegu transit complex center on 15 this month.

This is the final business of 2016 Shinsegae Group’s 6 projects, is designed to be a new-concept shopping theme park, attempted on new challenges such as building aquarium and theme park etc. that have not been seen in the domestic department stores before.

Daegu Shinsegae is located in Sincheon-dong, Dong-gu, Daegu, is a 9-story-building, having 7 stories below street level. Its total floor area is 338,000㎡ and business area is 108,000㎡. It has more than 3000 parking lots, also.

This is as large as Centum City store which is the biggest department store in the world, costs 880 billion won. The largest area of one floor is about 16,000㎡, the biggest in domestic. As having huge area, it is designed that customers are able to shop all the brands of the certain kind of goods in one floor.

The representation of Shinsegae, Jeayeong-Jang said, “Daegu Shinsegae is the complex shopping culture space, which is integrated distribution know-how of Shinsegae”, “it will lead developing local economy by making it to be the landmark of Daegu, Gyeongbuk district, that all ages want to visit it, by means of making the best use of its advantage of complex transit center.” he added.
