The litigants of the sixth case are 398 persons including 326 purchasers, 44 lease holders and 28 used car buyers. They bought Volkswagen and Audi motors released after 2008, which have diesel engines (2.0TDI, 1.6TDI, 1.2TDI).

“We are going to help additional 400~500 litigants to file a complaint once a week” said attorney Ha. “So far about 6000 persons have handed in necessary documentation for the suit.”

He added “Class action suit in US is being accepted through a Korea-US lawsuit registration system opened on the website of Barun law firm, which will benefit the litigants from class action suit in US. The following procedure of class action suit in US sued on 23 Oct. is that the United States Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation(MDL PANEL) gathers about 400 class action suits from states against Volkswagen and designates the federal district court and judge on 4 Dec."

He emphasized “I will endeavor, with Quinn Emanuel law firm specialized in international lawsuit with 88% winning rate, to get the Volkswagen and Audi motors produced in German as well as Passat manufactured in US approved of Class Certification and compensated ”
