(Seoul=NSP News Agency) soon ki Lee Journalist = Hanwha Solutions is working with Samsung Electronics to resolve the European heating crisis.
The Q CELLS division(Hanwha Q CELLS) of Hanwha Solutions will begin the European solar heating system construction business in earnest.
By combining a solar module, an energy storage system(ESS) and heat pumps, it aims to reduce heating costs and carbon emissions with eco-friendly power.
Consumers can supply solar power to heat pumps and replace fossil fuel-based heating facilities by using Q. OMAND, an energy management smartphone app developed by Hanwha Q CELLS.
In addition, consumers can operate home appliances, including heat pumps, using solar power through the ‘Zero Energy Home’ function of the ‘SmartThings Energy’ app, Samsung Electronics’ home appliance control solution.
The heat pump is a device that draws heat energy from the outside and uses it for heating and hot water, and it can save heating costs by using solar power and ESS.
The European Union also announced in May that it would increase the installation of heat pumps from the current 17 million units to 50 million units by 2030 in the REPowerEU, a plan to expand the supply of renewable energy announced in May.
Accordingly, the European market for heat pumps is expected to reach $29 billion(about KRW 39 trillion) annually.
